AKB48 and Okamura Takashi

AKB48 has formed “OKL48” with comedic duo NINETY-NINE’s Okamura Takashi!

Okamura, dressed up as “OKALEMON“, a popular character from Fuji TV’s popular variety show “Mecha-Mecha Iketeru!“. He will serve as the center and 15 AKB48 members including Oshima Yuko and Watanabe Mayu will also dress up as lemons. OKL48’s original song will be included as a coupling song in AKB48’s upcoming single “Eien Pressure”, which goes on sale on December 5th.

15 members who lost in AKB48’s 3rd Annual Janken Tournament that took place back in September were chosen to be part of the group. They dressed in white tights and wore a mask and skirt to create the unique look of lemons. Member Ichikawa Miori who is known for her catch-phrase “I want to become a fresh lemon.”, was also chosen as a member of OKL48.

 OKL48 will make their first appearance on the December 1st for a 2-hour special episode of the “Mecha-Mecha Iketeru!” (begins at 7 PM.) OKL48’s comical dance is definitely not to be missed.

SKE48 single and world record!

SKE48 will release a currently untitled new single in January!

This was announced on November 18th during the group’s handshake event for ‘Kiss Datte Hidarikiki‘ at Pacifico Yokohama. As Matsui Rena called out,
“I have an important announcement for everyone!“,
a message saying, “The second chapter of SKE48 will start“, was projected onto the monitor.
The opening of SKE48’s official theater on December 9th was announced once again.
Members were not imformed about this so they were all quite surprised.

Additionally, the music video for SKE48’s new song, “Tsuyogari Tokei“, was revealed during the event. This song is the coupling track to the Type A edition of AKB48’s upcoming single, “Eien Pressure“, which will be released on December 5th. In the music video, Kitahara Rie, who belongs in both AKB48 and SKE48 will make an appearance.

Also, SKE48 set Guinness World Records with their first album!
On November 19th, an awarding ceremony was held in Tokyo, where the girls of SKE48 received their certificate. In astonishment, Matsui Jurina commented,
“Being active in SKE48, I never thought that we would be certified by Guinness, I want to rejoice together with our fans.”

The album comes with a total of 63 music videos for each member. When the news first broke through to the girls during their album release event, they expressed their surprise and joy with shouts of “Wow” and “Yay“. Matsui Rena said excitedly, “We’re going to be in that Guinness Book!?“, and expressed her wish of displaying the certificate in SKE48’s official theater (opens on December 9th).
 Now in their 5th year, Jurina was deeply moved at the growth of the group.
“I never thought that we would have 63 members in the first place,” This year, there are rumors going around that the girls will make their first independent appearance on the ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen‘.
  ”If we could participate, that alone would make me happy. If every member of SKE48 could participate in the Kohaku, I want to share it like the Guinness World Records.”

Among the 48 groups, AKB48 has been certified as the “pop group with the most amount of members”. Takayanagi Akane proudly stated,
“For ours, the fact that each and every one of our works have been put into one has been certified. The directors made them with affection for the members, so we’re winning with love.”

Since youtube continuously deletes songs from AKB48, we will be kind and find the MP3 to that song and make a small video for you guys. We believe this is good way for people who are just getting into the 48 groups to learn some of their songs. If we do not get comments by the 28th we will just pick our own songs... it was announced that
“All 31 finalists have passed! I saw the raw talent of all 31 finalists. I thought that all 31 had their individual charms and decided to accept all 31. All of you are seeds of a flower. I look forward to seeing the types of flowers that sprout from these seeds. I want each new member to grow into their own individual flower.”

Also Takajo Aki and Nakagawa Haruka who transferred to JKT48 this month stated

“I also became a JKT48 member in November, so I am standing at the same start line as everyone. While there may be moments that are painful, I believe there will be even more moments that are enjoyable. Let’s all try our best,”
while Nakagawa stated,
“I am happy that I will meet everyone. Let’s try our best to be energetic and have fun together.”

Last off, NO3B will be releasing a new single in January 16th.

Also, 1,500 people who reserve the Regular Edition through Sony Music Shop will be chosen out of lottery to attend a video shoot event on November 18th. The participants’ names will be included in the credits of the music video. The reservation period is set from November 5th at 12:00 pm to the 7th at 12:00 am.

Youtube! And Kasai Tomomi!

Hey guys! We wanna let you know that we are going to make a youtube account for this blog. If you all remember when I made a Tribute to Acchan video, We will be uploading videos like that.
Also, Second Admin Julii really likes to dance and so she might make a few dance covers.
We will also upload videos that have to do with ***48 For example, Sugar Rush, which is hard to find, I always download videos of ***48 to my laptop in case they get deleted. So everyone, it should be up in a few hours and we will start posting right away!

SKE48's Yagami Kumi will be Graduating..

Because SKE48 Theater is currently under renovation, Kumi expressed her feelings through her Google+ account. She wrote, “SKE48 has gained 5th generation members and I now have many juniors under me. As a 1st generation member, I felt that I had to lead the other members. I also wanted my juniors to have many chances and display their talents. Also, as I thought about my own path, I strongly felt that I should start over again. I was thinking about graduating from the 48 group since about a year ago. It’s a decision that requires courage, but I was able to announce it today.” 

The exact date of Kumi's graduation is undecided at this time. She will officially make her announcement in front of fans at SKE48’s handshake event for “Kiss Datte Hidarikiki” on November 3rd at Port Messe in Aichi. Kumi passed SKE48’s opening audition back in July of 2008. She became a member of Team S and has been in the senbatsu since the group’s first single, “TsuyokiMono yo“. In AKB48’s 4th General Election, Kumi placed 28th, and has also been active as a member of the Undergirls.

Hikawa Ayame of NMB48's Team M will be taking a brake due to injury.

This is Ayame's original message posted:

"Since about 3,4 months ago, my leg injury and physical condition hasn't been good and there were times I was abesent from work and stage shows. I think if I continued to drag on (this situation) like this I would cause troubles, and as a result of talking to the staff, I will take a short break. It's inexcusable and arbitrary, but please give me a bit time. I don't know when I will be able to come back, but I will do my best at treatment and rehabilitation to get well as fast as possible. I am really sorry."
