SKE48 single and world record!

SKE48 will release a currently untitled new single in January!

This was announced on November 18th during the group’s handshake event for ‘Kiss Datte Hidarikiki‘ at Pacifico Yokohama. As Matsui Rena called out,
“I have an important announcement for everyone!“,
a message saying, “The second chapter of SKE48 will start“, was projected onto the monitor.
The opening of SKE48’s official theater on December 9th was announced once again.
Members were not imformed about this so they were all quite surprised.

Additionally, the music video for SKE48’s new song, “Tsuyogari Tokei“, was revealed during the event. This song is the coupling track to the Type A edition of AKB48’s upcoming single, “Eien Pressure“, which will be released on December 5th. In the music video, Kitahara Rie, who belongs in both AKB48 and SKE48 will make an appearance.

Also, SKE48 set Guinness World Records with their first album!
On November 19th, an awarding ceremony was held in Tokyo, where the girls of SKE48 received their certificate. In astonishment, Matsui Jurina commented,
“Being active in SKE48, I never thought that we would be certified by Guinness, I want to rejoice together with our fans.”

The album comes with a total of 63 music videos for each member. When the news first broke through to the girls during their album release event, they expressed their surprise and joy with shouts of “Wow” and “Yay“. Matsui Rena said excitedly, “We’re going to be in that Guinness Book!?“, and expressed her wish of displaying the certificate in SKE48’s official theater (opens on December 9th).
 Now in their 5th year, Jurina was deeply moved at the growth of the group.
“I never thought that we would have 63 members in the first place,” This year, there are rumors going around that the girls will make their first independent appearance on the ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen‘.
  ”If we could participate, that alone would make me happy. If every member of SKE48 could participate in the Kohaku, I want to share it like the Guinness World Records.”

Among the 48 groups, AKB48 has been certified as the “pop group with the most amount of members”. Takayanagi Akane proudly stated,
“For ours, the fact that each and every one of our works have been put into one has been certified. The directors made them with affection for the members, so we’re winning with love.”

Lastly a message from Atsu and I. Next week on November 28th we will start something new!

We will start taking song requests from you all. Choose your favorite song of AKB48, SKE, SDN, NMB, HKT, Nogizaka46 and we will post them on the blog. Since youtube continuously deletes songs from AKB48, we will be kind and find the MP3 to that song and make a small video for you guys. We believe this is good way for people who are just getting into the 48 groups to learn some of their songs. If we do not get comments by the 28th we will just pick our own songs... So start commenting! You can comment on the facebook page, youtube, and the blog!

AKB48 28th single and Paruru!

Yesterday was the janken tournament! guess who's center? SHIMAZAKI HARUKA!!!!!! I'm glad for this one! Before i wasn't so satisfied with the last janken centers... 

Also AKB48 performed their 28th single. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!! It is called UZA! It has the most hardest choreography in AKB history! Also it is a W center with Jurina and Yuko. 

Next center?

As I read on Tokyohive there comes a post about AKB48 singing their upcoming single at the janken tournament. What really caught my attention was the discussion of the next center.
It is said that maybe the center for the "kakoii" single will be the fixed center. As I read down in the comment there were small arguments on who should and most likely be center.

Of course people are going to skip right to the point and say Oshima Yuko will be definite center but theres a BIG chance she won't be. The top choices I have seen were Watanabe Mayu, Shimazaki Haruka, Matsui Jurina, Watanabe Miyuki, and Takahashi Minami.
Lets do elimination here.

MATSUI JURINA

 One good ace. BUT!! May we all remember, even if she is a member of AKB48 she is still apart of SKE48 AND SKE's ace. Also lets remember how sick she got from over doing things in just SKE48. She's young and cool but not a good choice for the ace of AKB48. ESPECIALLY AKB48!

WATANABE MIYUKI (MIRUKI / MILKY)

She's one of the top centers for NMB48. She's cute and fluffy IMO. This would also be a bad idea for center of AKB48. Why? Do we really want to risk, what happened to jurina, to happen to Miyuki? She's my favorite member of NMB48, and I want her to just be of NMB48. Lets put it like this. If the girl is from another group she shouldn't be the ace of AKB48.


WATANABE MAYU (MAYUYU)

In all honesty, I don't even approve of her being the ace of Team B. I don't understand why she is popular. Why? someone please tell me! It can't just be because she is cute!
Anyways on to the point. I don't think she could take the place of Acchan. She may be young but somehow I don't sense her power the same as Acchans.


TAKAHASHI MINAMI (TAKAMINA)

I think she is a REALLY REALLY good choice for center. No i'm not just saying this because she is my oshi. She is the overall captain of AKB48 now. Her power, In my opinion, is the same as Acchans. She is loyal, cute, really good power in dancing and singing, and she can take on anything JUST LIKE ACCHAN! Although, the downside to this is... shes fails at times (LOL)

And lastly,
SHIMAZAKI HARUKA (PARURU)

She is also a good candidate for center. She looks like Acchan, SHE CAN SING!!! and shes basically already being pushed. She was on the cover of 1830m, no? I still don't know much about Shimazaki, but to me, she is like a rival to Acchan. Just like Takamina.

Now lets equal it all down. Jurina and Miyuki are most likely not going to be the ace so we cross them out. Watanabe Mayu I guess has a good chance so we leave her secure. Takahashi Minami has a good chance as well, she is secure. Shimazaki Haruka has a good chance she is secure.

Leaves us with 3 girls. Mayuyu, Takamina, and Paruru.

In my opinion Aki-p should consider a triple center for these 3. It's quite hard to pick which girl should be center. I think he should do triple center or do a rotating center. I would vote more on Rotating center so all of the girls will have the chance to be a center.

Matsui Rena cancels handshake event.

Rena chan has canceled her handshake event due to poor physical health condition.

                                                         She wrote on her Google+.

“It is unfortunate, but I needed to cancel my handshake event due to my poor physical condition. To my fans that waited for me at the event venue, I am deeply sorry that in the end, you had to hear the words “cancel” and that I was unable to greet you.”

Rena is scheduled to attend another handshake event in Nagoya on October 9. Rena has written “I am resting today” on her Google+

Gee.. remember Jurinas health problem? This is what happens with popular members.. I hope this doesnt come as bad as Jurinas...

63 PVs♥

In SKE48's 1st album it will include 63 PVs!! Every member including Kenkyuusei will have their own PV although it will be a minute long :( Well it's worth it!!! I can't wait to see Rena chans, Juri chans, and Mitsuki's PV!!! The PV will be released September 19th along with their 10th single!
